5 Essential Dress Patterns You Can Sew at Home

Here's how to go from pattern to dress in five steps:

Frequently asked questions

What skill level do I need to make these dresses?

These patterns are designed for confident beginners to intermediate skill levels. You should know basic sewing techniques like straight seams and hems.

How do I print the patterns at home?

Immediately after purchase, you'll receive the files by email. When you open each PDF file, you'll see a print button at the top right of the screen. Print on standard A4 paper, then tape the pages together following the assembly guide included in the PDF.

Can I sell items I make from these patterns?

Yes! You can sell finished garments made from our patterns.

What if I have trouble assembling the printed pages together?

Don't worry! The first page shows you a miniature preview of how all the pages fit together in the exact order. Each page has letters and numbers that show you the exact assembly sequence. Look for the star symbols on each page - these line up perfectly to show you where pages connect. If you still have trouble, just use the chat button on the website and send me a message anytime. I'm always ready and happy to help!

How do I know my printer sized the pattern correctly?

Before printing all the pages, print just the page with the test squares first. Use a ruler to measure - the square marked "5 cm" should measure exactly 5 centimeters, and the square marked "3 inch" should measure exactly 3 inches. You can test either measurement (or both to double-check). If they don't match, adjust your printer settings to 100% scale and try again.

What if I lose or can't find my pattern files?

No problem! Just send me a message through the website chat with your name, and I'll look you up in our past orders. I'll send you a fresh copy of all the files you purchased at no extra charge, you already paid for them, so you should always have access!

How do I know which size to cut?

Each pattern includes multiple sizes (EU 34-44 / XS-XXL) with different colored lines for each size. Simply find your size and follow only that colored line when cutting. For example, if you wear EU size 36 (Small), follow the red dashed line throughout all the pattern pieces. The different line patterns (solid, dashed, dotted) help you easily identify your size across all pieces.
